About Matt

New Zealander Matt Payne graduated from Grove Racing's junior programme into its Supercars team in 2022. He won the 2025 Bathurst 1000 with Garth Tander, Grove's first victory in the race and one of the youngest wins in its history, and by mid-2026 was a leading title contender with a string of race wins.
