About Sheldon

Johannesburg-born van der Linde won South Africa's Polo Cup before the Audi TT Cup took him to Europe, and in 2019 became the first South African in the DTM, winning the title with BMW in 2022. He won the 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour and, at Spa in 2026, became the first South African to win a WEC race overall.
